Rise and Shine

For a great start to your day, sit in the sunlight for at least 10 minutes to brighten your mood and get a healthy dose of vitamin “D!”

Perhaps we should all take that saying more literally and bask in the early morning rays more often. People who got early morning sunlight had lower BMI’s regardless of how much they ate, exercised, or slept compared to people who didn’t, says a recent study from Northwestern University. While researchers don’t know exactly why our bodies respond well to early sunlight, they speculate that sunlight plays a role in regulating metabolism.
